Staff/Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Build and maintain reliable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Design, build and operate backend services in TypeScript/Node and GraphQL.
• Model data and evolve relational schemas (PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for end-to-end outcomes.
• Monitor and improve production systems focusing on reliability and operational excellence.
• Simplify systems and reduce complexity.
• Drive cross-team initiatives and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience building backend systems for Senior level.
• 8-10+ years of backend development experience for Staff level.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Strong bias for action and ownership mindset.
• Excellent written and async communication skills.
• Genuine curiosity for crypto/Web3 ecosystems.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and complex problems.
• Experience in mentoring and leading cross-team designs.
• Ability to deliver high-impact features and improve system reliability.
