This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the financial crime framework of a fast-growing cryptoasset business as the Australia Deputy MLRO.

In Short

• Support the MLRO in maintaining and developing the financial crime framework.
• Maintain oversight of financial crime compliance activities.
• Enhance the financial crime compliance function proactively.
• Act as a key point of escalation for complex cryptoasset transactions.
• Prepare and deliver internal reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Keep up to date with evolving global regulations.
• Provide training and guidance on AML requirements.
• Represent the firm during regulatory audits and engagements.
• Manage day-to-day AML compliance activities.
• Develop and update internal financial crime policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in financial crime compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of KYC, CDD, EDD practices in Australia.
• Familiarity with cryptoassets financial crime typologies.
• Proven ability to manage complex investigations.
• Experience in licensing or registering crypto businesses.
• Experience with blockchain analytics tools is advantageous.
• Strong judgement and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive in staying informed about regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
