Overview

The Fincrime Machine Learning Team at Monzo is dedicated to building financial crime defensive capabilities to keep customers safe. Machine Learning Scientists in this team have ownership across the entire ML lifecycle, from formulating problems to deploying models.

In Short

• Lead machine learning for the Financial Crime domain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Engineers.
• Design, build, and deliver machine learning systems.
• Support and develop high-performing Machine Learning Scientists.
• Coordinate with other teams to follow industry best practices.
• Empower scientists to work across the end-to-end lifecycle of their models.
• Contribute to best practices for a high-performing work environment.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage a team of 5 or more Machine Learning professionals.
• Foster relationships with other leaders at Monzo.

Requirements

• Experience managing teams of Machine Learning professionals.
• Understanding of ML systems and their design.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders.
• Empathetic leadership style.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
