Head of Asset Liability Management - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Head of Asset Liability Management (ALM) to join the Treasury team. You’ll report into the Deputy Treasurer, working closely with the Treasurer and CFO and be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic balance sheet risk management and optimisation of a fast-growing and evolving balance sheet.

In Short

• Managing balance sheet risk, including interest rate, liquidity, and foreign exchange.
• Developing and enhancing ALM frameworks and policies.
• Delivering the Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP).
• Owning and enhancing the functionality of the ALM system.
• Managing relationships with business units regarding balance sheet risks.
• Preparing and presenting at ALCO meetings.
• Designing and implementing best practice FTP frameworks.
• Leading and inspiring the ALM team.
• Developing relationships with regulators.
• Representing Monzo at industry functions.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior ALM/Treasury role.
• Extensive knowledge of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB).
• Desire to shape Treasury operations at Monzo.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership and management abilities.
• Experience building relationships with stakeholders.
