Overview

As the first Accounting & Finance hire at Momence, this is an exciting opportunity to shape our financial foundation from the ground up. The Controller will oversee Momence’s accounting operations and establish accounting policies, financial controls, and guidelines.

In Short

• Direct and manage accounting principles and practices.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close timelines.
• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Establish and enforce internal controls over financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow activities and manage cash transfers.
• Build a working capital cash flow model.
• Report to external parties including private equity owners.
• Supervise Sage Intacct general ledger administration.
• Maintain and update corporate records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-8 years of accounting management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of independent judgment and integrity.
• Process improvement mindset and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to teach financial concepts to non-financial individuals.
