Manager, Accounting Operations - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a Manager, Accounting Operations to lead Mogo’s Shared Services and General Accounting functions - including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and key general ledger activities.

In Short

• Lead and develop the Shared Services and General Accounting team.
• Review and support daily accounting operations ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Own the month-end close process for Shared Services and general accounting areas.
• Collaborate with the broader Accounting team during reporting and audit cycles.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls within AP/AR and general accounting.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, and Operations.
• Support external audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Contribute to system improvements for scalability and accuracy.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience in Shared Services operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated process improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in applying technology and AI tools in accounting processes.
