Overview

Modivcare is seeking an experienced Data Engineer III to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure that support data-driven decision-making.

In Short

• Design and develop scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, and Apache Airflow.
• Automate complex data workflows for reliability and performance.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using TypeScript or similar tools.
• Manage real-time data ingestion using Apache Kafka.
• Create and support AWS Database Migration Service tasks.
• Handle large-scale datasets in formats like Parquet and Avro.
• Develop data models and manage Redshift-based data warehouses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support system documentation and Agile delivery activities.
• Contribute to data governance and security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Familiarity with data integration tools.
• Experience with streaming data platforms.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
