Overview

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with DevOps expertise to join our dynamic team supporting a critical Government customer. This role involves managing and optimizing the customer’s application infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability within a virtualized environment (Nutanix, VMs). The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and passionate about delivering secure and efficient systems solutions.

In Short

  • Administer and maintain application servers, networks, and development/test infrastructure.
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot application hosting services.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct audits to ensure data integrity and protection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy.
  • Stay current with industry trends in cloud computing and systems administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
  • 16+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering and administration.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Strong Linux System Administration skills and experience with containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git, Subversion).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of application and infrastructure security reviews.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve networking issues.
  • Research and apply new technologies in object-oriented programming.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members.
