Overview

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-obsessed team member who is driven to #makeithappen no matter what.

In Short

• Own key aspects of the period close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules for various accounts.
• Drive process improvements and automation within our accounting workflows.
• Support audit-readiness by ensuring financials are complete and accurate.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports.
• Assist in sales tax filings and compliance requirements.
• Provide analyses to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Proven ability to lead month-end close processes.
• Expert in Excel/Google Sheets and QuickBooks.
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Clear communicator who is not afraid to ask questions.
• Excited to build and improve systems with automation.
• Experience working with audit teams.
