Senior Staff Accountant - Remote

In Short

• Perform full-cycle general ledger accounting, including preparing schedules and journal entries, and performing various account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and investor reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage customer invoicing, track payments, and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Process W2 payroll for employees and 1099 payments for contractors.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Provide support for the external audit process.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial workflows and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA is a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks; experience in NetSuite a plus.
• Experience with healthcare accounting and understanding of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
