Overview

As a Lead Instructor for the Intro to Web Design class at Mission Bit, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality computer science education while fostering an engaging classroom environment for students.

In Short

• Teach the Intro to Web Design class remotely.
• Prepare and facilitate lessons focused on project-based learning.
• Engage with students to create an inclusive classroom culture.
• Work approximately 16 hours per week from June to August 2025.
• Participate in instructor training sessions.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff.
• Communicate effectively with students and their families.
• Support students in their learning and project development.
• Attend weekly meetings with the instructional team.
• Uplift youth and bridge the tech divide through education.

Requirements

• Passion for community, social justice, and coding.
• Experience in teaching or educational support.
• Ability to connect with diverse groups of learners.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to adapt lessons to meet student needs.
• Experience with project-based curriculum preferred.
• Availability for the entire semester from June to August 2025.
