Product & Privacy Counsel - Remote

Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Product & Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team and support Mindbody + ClassPass around the world. You will play a critical role in embedding legal compliance into Mindbody’s product lifecycle while ensuring the business retains its bias towards action and continues to move quickly while innovating responsibly.

In Short

• Be the lead Legal contact for Mindbody’s Product, Design and Engineering, Security and Marketing teams.
• Monitor, research and analyze regulatory developments worldwide.
• Assist with Mindbody’s privacy program.
• Partner with Mindbody’s Security team for privacy and security requirements.
• Draft and update internal policies and contractual documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations teams.
• Partner with all other practice areas within the Legal team.
• Prepare and deliver privacy and product compliance training.
• Be prepared to work within US time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and qualified to practice law.
• 5-10 years’ relevant legal experience, ideally in the technology industry.
• Strong experience advising on consumer protection and privacy requirements.
• Self-Motivated with the ability to drive cross-functional projects.
• A team player willing to help wherever needed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to high legal standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
