Military Planner - Remote

Overview

Michael Baker’s Federal Planning Practice is looking for an experienced Military Planner to lead comprehensive planning projects for the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force. Our practice’s planners, landscape architects, and project managers are dedicated to helping our Federal clients across the U.S. and overseas. The ideal candidate will be driven, intellectually curious, committed to excellence, and demonstrate a desire to make a difference in the communities we serve.

In Short

• Develop and maintain/update master plans and reports.
• Facilitate planning charrettes for Federal/Military clients.
• Analyze facility requirements according to DoD guidelines.
• Mentor others in the use of DoD Real Property business systems.
• Provide project updates and documentation to clients.
• Requires 25% travel.
• This position can be remote, in-person, or hybrid.

Requirements

• At least six years of experience in military installation planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria and DoD Planning Criteria.
• Familiarity with military requirements and planning guidance.
• Experience with DoD Real Property business systems.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• U.S. citizenship required.
