GIS Technician - Remote

Overview

The GIS Technician will join the National Geospatial Practice and will be focused on a specific project for a long-term client for at least the first year of employment. As the Technician increases GIS capabilities, there will be the ability to get involved in GIS projects all over the country with a variety of clients.

Requirements

• Minimum two-year degree or applicable professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Science, or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience working directly with GIS data.
• Experience with the Esri ArcGIS suite.
• Ability to demonstrate GIS mapping and analysis skills.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online web maps and applications.
• Ability to understand client operations.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into layman’s terms.
• Ability to coordinate with project stakeholders.
