Overview

The Strategic Bids & Contracts Manager (SBCM) is responsible for compiling the company's response to solicited bids for educational furnishings and consulting services, and taking ownership of the bid process from beginning to end.

In Short

  • Responsible for the entire bid process for educational furnishings and consulting services.
  • Compile information from internal and external parties for bid responses.
  • Review, track, analyze, and report bid and contract events.
  • Assist with maintenance of contracts and sales requests.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Prepare and organize bid responses including various documentation.
  • Maintain department content resources and contracts calendar.
  • Execute ad-hoc requests related to contracts and sales.
  • Research new markets and bid opportunities.
  • Become knowledgeable in contract offerings to assist customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in bids and contracts management.
  • Strong analytical skills for RFP analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in maintaining content repositories.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing timelines.
  • Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to research and identify new market opportunities.
  • Familiarity with contract modifications and vendor registrations.
  • Attention to detail in preparing bid documentation.
  • Knowledge of educational furnishings is a plus.
