Director of Data Engineering - Remote

Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide technical guidance and suggest improvements in data analytics and governance processes. It is responsible for overseeing data engineering activities and aiding in building the business’ data collection systems and processing pipelines.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data platform development.
• 5+ years of experience with Python.
• 5+ years of experience with Snowflake.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services.
• Expertise in data storage querying tools and orchestration tools.
• Experience with RDBMSs like Postgres or MySQL.
• Understanding of engineering practices like test-driven development.
• Ability to convey technical details using standard diagramming formats.
• Experience working with semi-structured data in JSON format.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
