Overview

Merjent, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Endangered Species Act (ESA) Compliance Biologist with expertise in federally protected species to join our team of dedicated consultants.

In Short

• Lead development of Biological Assessments (BAs) and ESA consultations.
• Contribute to Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs).
• Assist with biologically focused project development.
• Lead Monarch Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) enrollment strategy.
• Ensure compliance with Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
• Coordinate with biological field surveyors.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with ESA consultations and impact assessments.
• Experience with Habitat Conservation Plans.
• Background in energy industry projects preferred.
• Experience in business development and networking.
• Proficiency in Google Earth and ArcGIS Online.
• Excellent time management and independent work skills.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities.
• Technical writing skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
