Senior Compliance Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in leading and maintaining our compliance management system, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across all operations. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

In Short

• Conduct client and potential client audit preparedness assessments
• Manage regulatory and administrative audit preparation
• Execute internal compliance audits aligned with CMS oversight requirements
• Monitor and assess compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state/municipal requirements
• Assist with remediation and corrective actions for identified compliance weaknesses
• Review and approve consumer communications and scripts
• Investigate and respond to consumer regulatory complaints
• Conduct employee compliance training in collaboration with CCO
• Manage registration, license renewals, bond requirements
• Process and log legal summons, complaints, and regulatory demands

Requirements

• Senior level experience in compliance within the Consumer Financial Services industry
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in compliance within financial services and/or debt recovery/collections industry
• Deep understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and state collection laws
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience with compliance management systems and audit processes
• CCCO, CRCM, or similar compliance certification is a plus
• Experience in fintech or startup environment is preferred
• Knowledge of AI and automation in financial services is preferred
