MENAE Regional Peace & Good Governance Consultant - Remote

Overview

The MENAE Regional Peace & Good Governance Consultant will support Mercy Corps in developing a pool of technical experts to enhance peacebuilding and governance efforts across the MENA and Europe regions.

In Short

• Engage in business development for peacebuilding projects.
• Deliver training to country teams and partners.
• Support grant implementation and develop relevant SOPs.
• Contribute to research and learning around peacebuilding.
• Provide technical advice on proposals and strategy documents.
• Lead workshops and training sessions for country teams.
• Conduct analyses and assessments to inform program quality.
• Work with regional teams to enhance program strategies.
• Develop communication materials for donors and stakeholders.
• Participate in developing country-level strategies for peace and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• 5-7 years of experience in international development.
• Minimum of 5 years in Peace and Good Governance work.
• Experience in MENA and Eastern Europe required.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Strong English proficiency; Arabic or Russian preferred.
• Experience in fragile contexts preferred.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills for assessments and proposals.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
