We’re seeking a detail-oriented, technically strong, and collaborative Senior Model Risk Manager to help us level up our defenses while enabling product velocity and innovation.

In Short

• Lead the validation, monitoring, and governance of various models.
• Perform independent model validation focusing on AML and sanctions models.
• Assess model methodologies and data integrity.
• Evaluate emerging modeling techniques for financial crime detection.
• Support the establishment of monitoring plans for model performance.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies for model limitations.
• Prepare model validation reports for internal and regulatory stakeholders.
• Champion model risk management within a fast-paced fintech environment.
• Assist with data validation tasks for compliance reporting.
• Engage in early risk identification efforts for new models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in model risk management or data science.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial crimes related modeling.
• Strong command of statistical analysis and data validation methods.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; knowledge of Haskell is a plus.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks.
• Experience drafting validation reports and audit responses.
• Familiarity with sanctions screening vendor tools is a plus.
• Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting.
