Mercury’s Stories team is a small but mighty part of our Brand organization, where we aim to connect with and support ambitious founders and entrepreneurs through multiformat content. We’re looking for a Sr. Growth Editor to help sharpen our content engine’s strategic edge and extend its impact.

In Short

• Drive forward a focused editorial direction for Mercury’s blog.
• Partner with SEO and Growth Marketing to translate keyword opportunities into content ideas.
• Write, edit, storyboard, and produce cornerstone content.
• Maximize content distribution with Growth, Social, and Community teams.
• Contribute to editorial ops with a strategic lens.
• Surface performance insights to understand what’s working.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a focus on startups or financial services.
• Strong track record of creating content that drives measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Comfort working in a remote-first, async-friendly environment.

Requirements

• Experience with formats beyond the blog including video, podcasts, and webinars.
• Experience managing freelance contributors.
• Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and the content funnel.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
• Strong creative instincts and a love for clarity and craft.
• Self-starter with momentum in cross-functional projects.
• Generalist energized by storytelling in various forms.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing editorial sharpness and measurable results.
• Familiarity with legal/compliance review processes for marketing content.
