The Data Engineer Intern/Co-op position at TD offers students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within a leading financial institution, focusing on big data platforms and technology.

In Short

Internship/Co-op role for Fall 2025.
Work with TD’s big data platform (Data-as-a-service).
Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Methodology (PMLC).
Participate in testing, debugging, and peer code reviews.
Document system deployment plans and participate in Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects.
Enhance knowledge of leading-edge technologies and TD services.
Work in a hybrid model (1-3 days in office).
Engage in leadership talks and Lunch and Learns.
Open to all years of study, targeting 3rd & 4th year students.
Compensation range: $45,700 - $74,400 CAD/year.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in relevant technology programs (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
Familiarity with Java, Scala, Python, Pyspark, or SQL.
Knowledge of data generation, data masking, and database development.
Experience with Test Data Tools (CA TDM or Delphix).
Familiarity with GIT, Jira, and Confluence.
Interest in emerging technologies.
Familiarity with RDBMS, Big Data, and ETL concepts is a plus.
Interest in Financial Systems and Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
