Requirements

  • Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience as an inpatient coder or clinical documentation specialist.
  • 2 years of acute care inpatient clinical documentation experience.
  • Preferred certifications: RN License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, CDIP.
  • Experience in Critical Care or Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with databases and presentation software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
  • Personal integrity and ability to inspire others.
