Senior Database Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Database Engineer will support, administer, manage, and tune multi-terabyte database systems while ensuring operational stability and performance in a cloud environment.

• Support and manage multi-terabyte database systems.
• Investigate and resolve data replication latency issues.
• Automate tasks to improve team efficiency.
• Manage database/software releases across environments.
• Troubleshoot performance issues in real-time.
• Participate in on-call support rotation.

• Work with IT and other teams to resolve incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
• Proficient in performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with NoSQL, SOLR, Vertica, PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Understanding of Database Mirroring and Availability Groups.
• ITIL V3 Foundation certification is a plus.
