Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Mark43 is seeking experienced and innovative full stack software engineers to build the next generation of cloud-based public safety software, empowering communities and their governments with new technologies.

In Short

• Work with Product Managers to understand feature requirements.
• Build features using technologies like Java, React, SQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Improve architectural strategy for product scalability.
• Review and submit code as part of the deployment process.
• Collaborate with Product Designers on technical constraints.
• Document features and code clearly for team understanding.
• Test new technologies and improve engineering practices.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on code quality.
• Engage in discussions to improve the codebase.
• Take ownership of products and features from start to finish.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java and React.
• Deep understanding of databases and automated testing.
• Proficiency in building and managing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud-based software applications, preferably in AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of web architecture concepts including HTTP and REST.
• Ability to write clear and concise code and documentation.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies.
• Interest in testing new front-end technologies.
