Great opportunity for recovery coaches and peers in training to have a voice and make a difference! Marigold Health is looking for an innovative peer recovery specialist to help people find their path to wellness and reduced substance use utilizing a new model for technology-enabled peer support.

In Short

• Engage in app chat moderation and member management.
• Facilitate meaningful conversations related to recovery experiences.
• Oversee group chats and ensure adherence to community guidelines.
• Review flagged content using Natural Language Processing alerts.
• Provide 1:1 peer support services to members.
• Document member engagements in electronic records.
• Travel onsite for outreach visits as needed.
• Engage members through various digital platforms.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus.

Requirements

• Certification as a Peer Specialist in substance use disorder or mental health recovery in Washington, DC.
• Reliable access to internet in a private space.
• Comfort operating a smartphone and software tools.
• Access to reliable transportation for onsite visits.
• Willingness to share personal lived experiences.
• Ability to create wellness plans and recovery goals.
• Willingness to work evening and weekend hours.
• Experience delivering peer support digitally is a plus.
• Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks to meet member needs.
