Senior Solution Architect - Remote

In Short

• Supports all portfolios within the enterprise through architecting comprehensive cloud, datacenter, and hybrid solutions.
• Collaborates with all roles and levels to create solutions that align to standards, patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Provides consultation on the design, building, testing, and deployment of technology solutions.
• Produces, enhances, and refines conceptual, logical, and physical solution architectures.
• Mentors less experienced architects and acts as the point person for cross-project technical issues.
• Researches and identifies potential impacts of existing, new, and emerging technologies.
• Aligns governance activities to the Bank’s architecture standards.
• Identifies risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Participates in cross-team Agile ceremonies.
• Promotes an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant work experience, or 11 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of experience as a solution architect providing holistic architecture design.
• 5 years of experience delivering cloud native solutions on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• 5 years utilizing diagramming tools to produce architecture designs.
• Experience communicating and presenting to all levels of audiences.
• Experience performing research to self-educate on technology and industry best practices.
• Understanding of network, security, application, and data concepts.
• Experience creating architecture patterns and roadmaps.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
