Loss Mitigation Liaison II - Remote

Overview

This position is responsible for acting as the Single Point of Contact (“SPOC”) throughout the loss mitigation process, from package collection through decision and closing, as well as through the foreclosure process. This position will also be responsible for assisting management with projects and training new employees.

In Short

• Act as the SPOC throughout the loss mitigation process.
• Make inbound and outbound calls to delinquent mortgage borrowers.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
• Assist borrowers in reviewing loss mitigation documents.
• Communicate terms of loss mitigation approvals or declines.
• Provide subject matter expertise in supervisor absence.
• Mentor new hires and assist in training.
• Work on special projects involving complex accounts.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the M&T Bank brand.

Requirements

• A combined 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ collections or customer service experience.
• 1 year of SPOC experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Mortgage collections experience preferred.
• Knowledge of M&T systems preferred.
