Sr. Director - Assistant Controller - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Director, Assistant Controller plays a key role in shaping Lumos’s financial future by leading our accounting and reporting functions with precision and vision. This leader ensures accuracy and integrity across general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, revenue accounting, and supports payroll, benefits, and tax functions.

In Short

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Provide analysis of results against budgets and prior periods.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Establish and monitor internal control policies.
• Manage tax compliance and audit processes.
• Provide executive-level financial insights.
• Mentor and guide accounting team members.
• Drive process improvements in financial operations.
• Experience in telecom or technology industries preferred.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA required, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Oracle or similar accounting systems.
• Ability to implement effective internal controls.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing a team of 10 or more preferred.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in a growth-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving orientation.
