Director of Accounting / Assistant Controller - Remote

Overview

As the Director, Accounting / Assistant Controller at GoGuardian, you will be a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting.

In Short

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Lead change management initiatives for process improvements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for company-wide initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting with the FP&A team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in either Netsuite or Intacct.
• Knowledge of complex SaaS contract terms and revenue recognition.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
