Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Own polished, performant user interfaces end-to-end from design implementation to delivery.
• Remote role with occasional U.S. travel for in-person collaboration, team offsites, and company events.
• Must have 5+ hours of overlap with US Pacific Time (9am–6pm PT).
• Fluent in English and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable backend services using AWS and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs and application logic in TypeScript.
• Lead system design, data modeling, and architectural decisions.
• Implement robust security, authentication/authorization, and data protection.
• Maintain healthy production systems through CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams.
• Bring strong product sense and user empathy.
• Mentor others and help raise the technical bar.
