Overview

The Director of Underwriting is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the underwriting processes within Longbridge Financial, developing strategies to enhance underwriting processes, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of residential mortgage underwriting experience.
• 5+ years in leadership positions.
• Knowledge of HECM Reverse and Proprietary mortgage programs.
• Strong decision-making skills on credit exceptions.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in teams.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with FHA underwriting policies.
• Proficient in PC applications and underwriting software.
