Overview

Loch Harbour Group is seeking a Mid-Level Cyber Security Specialist to support cybersecurity initiatives for a government client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and monitoring security controls, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations and best practices.

In Short

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and maintain security policies and risk management frameworks.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits for compliance with federal standards.
  • Support incident response activities including investigation and reporting.
  • Assist in developing security controls for enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to align security measures with objectives.
  • Maintain documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Recommend security solutions to enhance network and application security.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP).
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification (CISSP, CEH, CISM preferred).
  • U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must pass a background check and maintain DoD clearance.
