In Short

• Serve as a key member and subject matter expert for the Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) and General Ledger (GL) system.
• Lead and oversee the GL system, including configurations and balance sheet accounts.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes independently.
• Reconcile account information and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Compile and present complex financial information during audits.
• Provide advanced analysis and research for transactions in Oracle Financial Systems.
• Collaborate with team members on financial processes and policies.
• Support system upgrades, including testing and maintenance.
• Educate stakeholders on financial systems and processes.
• Mentor and coach accounting personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Significant experience in accounting theory and financial systems analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with financial reconciliation and variance resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize complex assignments.
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
