Software Development Engineer II - Remote

Overview

Welcome to the Customer Identity and Access Management at LivePerson! We are a team of 5 engineers located across 4 countries in (Bulgaria, Israel, Germany, US)

We are looking for a backend engineer (all genders) to join our team. You will work in a fast-paced environment on projects spanning different company areas, aiming to enhance and simplify how brands engage with their customers through messaging.

In Short

• Leverage expert Java knowledge to enhance new features and maintain platform stability.
• Maintain services using RESTful API conventions and a microservices approach.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, create proof of concepts.
• Improve the existing technical specifications and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist with code maintenance.
• Implement internal process improvements and optimize data flows.
• Collaborate with engineers, engineering managers, and stakeholders.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
• Participate in paid on-call duty approximately every 5 - 6 weeks.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of core Java experience using Spring boot and/or Node.js.
• 5+ years of experience with RESTful API and large-scale distributed microservices architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes, GCP, and databases.
• Experience with Gitlab.
• Familiar with DevOps for deploying applications and service monitoring tools.
• Experience in coordination with stakeholders and cross-team departments.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong communicator with very good written and verbal English skills.
