Social Worker – Safeguarding Triage Team - Remote

Overview

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Safeguarding Triage Team.

In Short

• Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development.
• Manage time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
• Provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager.
• Participate in performance management systems.
• Follow departmental health and safety procedures.
• Support social work students on placement.
• Understand and integrate key policies of the council.
• Conduct assessments and make informed decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must have Social Work England registration.

Requirements

• Experience in adult social care, particularly in safeguarding and triage roles.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments.
• Understanding of safeguarding adults procedures.
• Ability to apply safeguarding procedures in practice.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and professionals.
• Ability to analyse complex information.
• Post-qualified experience required.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
