Family Court Advisor - Remote

Overview

A Family Court Advisor role focused on safeguarding children and providing independent social work advice in family court proceedings, with a hybrid working arrangement.

In Short

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children involved in family court proceedings.
• Provide independent social work advice and recommendations to the court.
• Prepare high-quality case analyses and written reports for hearings.
• Work on cases after the first hearing within public law proceedings.
• Balance remote working with attendance at your local CAFCASS office for team meetings and development days.
• Travel across the region as required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience as a Children’s Social Worker.
• Strong frontline statutory experience.
• Demonstrable court experience with confidence in giving evidence.
• Knowledge and practice within public law, particularly after the first hearing.
• Current SWE registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
• Flexibility to travel across the region when required.
