Child Protection & Assessment Social Worker - Remote

Overview

A dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker is needed to join a forward-thinking Child Protection and Assessment Team in Cheshire East, focusing on child protection and initial assessments with the benefit of a separate Court Team managing all legal proceedings.

In Short

• Carry out initial assessments and Section 47 enquiries to determine risk and next steps.
• Manage Child Protection and Child in Need cases through effective planning and intervention.
• Attend strategy discussions, CP conferences, and core groups.
• No court work – all legal proceedings are handled by a dedicated Court Team.
• £40 per hour – top-tier rate.
• 3 days per week remote working – real flexibility.
• No court reports or hearings – separate Court Team supports you.

Requirements

• Social Work England registration.
• At least 2 years' post-qualified experience in CP and/or assessment.
• Confidence in decision-making and risk analysis.
• Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willing to apply).
