Family Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Family Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting families of students involved in the National Math Stars program, providing guidance and resources throughout their educational journey.

In Short

• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 families.
• Conduct monthly advising meetings with families.
• Assist families in managing their enrichment budgets.
• Provide support for school advocacy and selection.
• Build relationships with STEM enrichment providers.
• Track and document family and student progress.
• Organize family events and communication.
• Work remotely while residing in designated states.
• Occasional travel required for family visits.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred for additional stipend.

Requirements

• Experience working with diverse families in education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Organizational skills for managing caseload and data.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with gifted and special education programs preferred.
• Background in advanced mathematics preferred.
• Understanding of the STEM enrichment space preferred.

Benefits

• Salary range of $70,000 - $80,000.
• $2,000 one-time home office stipend.
