Overview

A dedicated and compassionate Social Worker is needed to join the Hospital Social Work Team at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester, delivering a statutory social work service.

In Short

• Deliver statutory social work services with compassion and empathy.
• Support individuals to regain skills and independence post-hospital admission.
• Conduct assessments and arrange care and support for individuals.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams covering A&E and emergency floor.
• Attend the hospital at least twice a week for face-to-face assessments.

• Provide informal supervision and mentor less experienced practitioners.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and risk enablement approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong IT skills for effective record-keeping and data protection compliance.

Requirements

• Social Work England registration.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Degree-level qualification in Social Work.
• Post-qualified experience in social work.
• Experience in making strengths-based assessments.
• Ability to apply risk enablement approaches.
• Experience in safeguarding enquiries.
• Capability to analyze and interpret information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient IT skills for record-keeping.
