Overview

We have exciting opportunities for experienced social workers to join our Duty and Assessment team at Liverpool Children’s Services. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site as needed. You will be part of a supportive and welcoming team committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Liverpool.

In Short

  • Respond to referrals and undertake assessments within set timescales.
  • Identify needs and work with children and families to provide support and implement plans.
  • Handle section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning.
  • Collaborate with professionals to support children and their families.
  • Manage cases involving children on child in need plans.
  • Work both from home and the office (3 days a week in Liverpool).
  • Must be a car driver and have access to a vehicle.
  • Initial 3-month minimum contract.
  • Regular supervision and support from a stable team.
  • Hybrid working model.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a social worker.
  • Completed ASYE.
  • Experience working with children and families in a safeguarding setting.
  • Knowledge and skills in dealing with section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
