The Chief Economist serves as LinkedIn’s senior authority on global economic trends, labor markets, and the future of work, partnering closely with LinkedIn’s Executive Leadership and reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role blends rigorous economic research with real-world application, translating complex macroeconomic, financial, and technological dynamics into actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Economics or related field (PhD preferred).
  • 12+ years' experience in macroeconomics and labor economics.
  • 10+ years' experience in a large, global company.
  • Experience synthesizing economic signals into business implications.
  • Proven experience leading analytical teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience engaging with policymakers and serving on boards.
  • Intellectually rigorous with a strong, data-backed viewpoint.
