In Short

• Lead and develop a team of backend engineers focused on Life360’s server-driven experience platform.
• Own key backend systems that enable dynamic content delivery to mobile clients.
• Drive rapid prototyping, MVP development, and backend experimentation.
• Collaborate closely across mobile engineering, product, analytics, design, and infrastructure.
• Improve backend development efficiency and reduce time-to-value.
• Maintain operational excellence across a rapidly growing userbase.
• Contribute to technical strategy and product roadmapping.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience required.
• Deep familiarity with modern backend stacks and technologies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience, with 6+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead for high-impact cross-functional engineering projects.
• Deep familiarity with modern, highly-scalable backend stacks.
• Ability to translate product goals into clean, scalable architectural solutions.
• Strong leadership skills in building efficient, self-motivated teams.
• Strong communication skills with an instinct for creating clarity.
• Experience with AI-driven development productivity tools is a plus.
