Senior Software Developer (Angular/GIS/Mapbox) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Software Developer is a critical technical leader on the LibraryIQ (LIQ) product team, collaborating closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and stakeholders to drive the successful design and delivery of innovative, data-driven applications that align with Library Systems & Services (LS&S) strategic objectives. This role is focused on building and enhancing modern, scalable web applications with a strong emphasis on geospatial intelligence, data visualization, and third-party integrations.

In Short

• Act as a senior technical lead in an Agile team.
• Architect and develop responsive, map-based web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and Mapbox.
• Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines.
• Supervise and mentor junior software engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, QA Engineers, and DevOps.
• Integrate and visualize geospatial and third-party datasets.
• Build secure, reliable APIs and data services.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in full-stack software development.
• 3+ years using Angular in production environments.
• Experience with Mapbox, GIS integrations, or geospatial frameworks.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data platforms.
