Overview

The Principal Risk Engineer, Construction will provide risk assessment and insurance risk engineering/loss control services, serving as a technical expert and developing technical content for underwriting and risk services.

  • Travel requirements: 25 – 50% within Canada and the US.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Construction or Property Risk Control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Civil Engineer designation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Construction Industry-related codes.
  • Experience in Builder’s Risk and Property Engineering.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders professionally.
  • Advanced French communication skills are an asset.
