Lean Tech is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of cloud-native services, focusing on building high-performance APIs using Python and FastAPI while leveraging Java for existing systems.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of professional Python development.
• 4+ years of Java development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience designing microservices and understanding API patterns.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, EKS).
• Knowledge of authentication patterns (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Deep understanding of Python 3.9+, including async programming.
• Experience with FastAPI and API testing frameworks.
