Southeast Regional Organizer - Remote

Overview

The Community Organizer for the Southwest Region will be part of the dynamic Organizing Department. This person brings experience and expertise to support the development and implementation of strategies to build peoplepower to advance voting rights and democracy priorities at the National, State and Local level by developing and centering the leadership in the Southeast and the Deep South.

In Short

• Develop and deliver training using popular education methodologies.
• Build organizing capacity and coach leaders.
• Execute strategic campaigns connecting national issues with local activities.
• Engage diverse communities authentically.
• Monitor and assess campaigns or field plans.
• Experience in digital, relational, and in-person organizing.
• Familiarity with voting rights and election reform.
• Willingness to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
• Support the expansion of state and local League online presence.
• Coordinate with other departments to align organizing goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in community, labor, issue or political organizing.
• Ability to develop and deliver training and resources.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Office 365, Salsa-Engage, Salesforce, and NGP VAN.
• Strong attention to detail.
