Overview

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure representation in democracy. The LWV Litigation Team partners with state and local Leagues in federal legal advocacy and supports state-level legal advocacy on various issues.

In Short

• Seeking legal interns for the Litigation Team.
• Interns may work on voting rights and social justice issues.
• Work under the supervision of the legal director.
• Assist in preparing legal memoranda and attending meetings.
• Support litigation, legal advocacy, and policy work.
• Internships may qualify for academic credit.
• Remote internships available for students outside the DC area.

Requirements

• Current 2L or 3L at an accredited university.
• Demonstrable legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Passion for voting rights and social justice.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Resume, cover letter, writing sample, and transcript required.
