Peri-op Pharmacy Technician - Remote

Overview

This position assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services in compliance with applicable State Board of Pharmacy regulations, working under close supervision.

• Enters medication orders into the pharmacy system.
• Operates automated dispensing equipment.
• Maintains medication inventory and stock orders.
• Receives and inspects stock deliveries.
• Performs routine inventory counts and reconciles discrepancies.
• Documents inventory transactions in compliance with policies.
• Prepares and labels non-sterile drug products.
• Works in a fast-paced environment.
• Adapts to and deals with change and ambiguity.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months of related work experience or Pharmacy Technician Externship.
• Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations accurately.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with automated and technical equipment in pharmacy.
• Knowledge of proper handling and storing of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Licenses: IPH - Intern Pharmacist or CA Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
