Overview

As an entry position, the PCC I is expected to learn and apply job skills, policies, and procedures to complete essential assignments and tasks in a healthcare setting.

In Short

  • Perform patient care duties including measuring vital signs and assisting providers.
  • Handle clinical administration tasks such as check-in/out and vaccine administration.
  • Manage clinic maintenance and ensure timely completion of work assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, serving as a liaison.
  • Entry-level position with no previous experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding regulations is beneficial.
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in high-volume situations.
  • Must possess BLS certification.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to an ever-changing healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with clinical care skills and practice care coordination.
  • Knowledge of inventory methods and customer relationship service concepts.
